Last week, a division bench of the HC summoned copies of all of the orders handed by him from the date of his becoming a member of as presiding officer of the tribunal. The copies have been sought to be examined by the registrar (vigilance) of the HC. “The manner in which presiding officer Abdul Majid Bhat of the tribunal is passing orders does not inspire confidence,” the excessive courtroom noticed final week. Bhat was on Friday transferred as administrative secretary in the Administrative Reforms Inspections (ARI) and Training Department, a relatively much less important posting.
